Intro

I have no idea why, but I started a blog. For years I have collected items of historical interest, specifically old letters, diaries, photographs, and militaria. I love bringing fascinating and unknown stories to light, no matter how small the insight or impact it has. Over the time of my collecting, I have digitally scanned and transcribed many of them since they cannot last forever as much as I might hate to admit it. My only goal with this blog is to bring these stories out into the open for the small amount of people that would be interested in them. I know I probably won’t get many or any followers and hey, maybe I’ll even end up deleting this account, but I’ll give it a try. Now, I’ll make my first post.

  1. Hello “The 1920’s Channel”!

I am impressed by your focus on the 1920’s and just watched “The Osage Murder”, a story, made into a movie by Scorsese, now premiering at Cannes 2023. I also watched your video on “Brooks vs Moore”. I’m sure you saw Brook’s interviewed in a documentary – wonderful.
I have done some You Tube videos my self (not nearly as deep and well produced). They were an homage to what I called “Sirens of the Roaring 1920’s” – 10 top overachieving women in the limelight of the 1920’s: Mae West,Clara Bow, Louise Brooks, Marion Davies, Tallulah Bankhead, Zelda Fitzgerald, Ruby Keeler, Peggy Joyce Hopkins, Fanny Brice. and Josephine Baker.
From this work I partnered with a screen writer and penned a script called “Doll Face” about Kiki Roberts and Jack “Legs” Diamond, who both frequented the nightclubs of Texas Guinan the Queen of the Nightclubs.
I’d like to talk with you about an opportunity for a movie or documentary.

    Thanks for your reply!
